Gateway Classic Cars of Denver is very excited to offer this nicely redone 1929 Ford Model A Pickup. As the Model T and TT became obsolete and needed to be replaced, Henry Ford began initial designs on the Model A and Model AA trucks in 1926. Basic chassis layout was done rapidly and mechanical development was moved forward quickly. Body design and style was developed and then outsourced to various body manufacturers, including Briggs and Murray. The designs of the Model A trucks shared a lot of the same parts and materials with the Model A Ford cars, most notably the body, engine and interior. The AAs usually received plainer interiors than their car counterparts, but in this instance, the interior seating, door panels and headliner have all been recovered. The Model A trucks also followed similar design changes to the Model A cars during the AAs four years in production. This 1929 Ford Model A Pick-up has a supercharged V6 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and has been refitted to a 12 volt system with a modern alternator as well. The body was painted a deep copper and cream fenders. The wood in the bed is always a nice touch too. Did we mention the painless wiring harness? This 1929 Ford Pickup is ready for leisurely evening cruises or a drive into the local car show!
