What we have here is a very rare and sought after Corvair Turbo Spyder Motor! The seller who is a disabled Vet apologizes for not having better photos as he has it in his garage and is unable to move it himself.
These Corvair Turbo Spyder Motors are nearly impossible to come by now as airboat owners have bled junkyards dry of these motors. Airboat owners and builder discovered that these are the absolute best motors for airboats and small sea craft.
1962,63 Turbo 150 hp out of a 4 speed car!
used in Dennis Weaver’s airboat on the hit TV show Everglades!

the seller asked if you could specify what pictures he should take for you? He said there are 3 sets of numbers but all somewhat difficult to get to and its not easy for him to get the photos taken

A couple of questions: Is this motor out of an early model (150 HP) or late model (180 HP)? Was the car it came from an automatic or manual transmission?
Also, where are you located?
per the seller- its out of the airboat that Dennis Weaver drove in tv series the EVERGLADES.
he is unsure if it was originally out of an auto or manual transmission vehicle.
