This is a handsome and clean original low-mileage 1999 Chevrolet Suburban Diesel the last year that GM made the Suburban with the 6.5 Turbodiesel. It is even more rare in that it is the K1500 model, with higher gear ratios and better fuel mileage, but still has plenty of pull for mid-range trailers.

It was a dealership courtesy car for its first three years, and never titled in that time. The current owner purchased the vehicle when it was three years old, in December 2002, with 29000 mi, and has owned it since. It was used for family vacations, Boy Scout camps, and church outings. It now has 120300 miles. The owners children are grown, and it has seen less use in the past few years.

This is a stock truck, and has never seen invasive modifications or abuse. The electronic engine control (PCM, aka FSD) has been moved away from its original location in the V of the engine, as the heat there caused these units to fail. There is an auxiliary water/fuel separator, added by the dealer that sold it in 2002. There is a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 trailer brake controller, and extendible trailer mirrors.

This truck is very nice, but of course it is not perfect. It has wear on seats. The black plastic fenders are wearing paint through, and there are a few spots in the carpet. But it has no rust – it has never been kept in snowy areas except on the aftermarket step rails. It has never been in an accident. The door lock cylinder on the driver side door is broken, but opens with the electric remote. The tires have plenty of tread but are old. The truck has been in the Seattle area and could use a thorough cleaning in the door jambs, nooks, and crannies.

All records have been kept since the vehicle was purchased, and it is a stack of paper over an inch high. The Carfax is clean and shows all of the same information provided here.

Everything works on the vehicle: air conditioners front and rear, and stereo AM/FM/cassette/CD, and windows and power locks.

This is an excellent vehicle for the person who always wanted a Diesel Suburban.
