Seller Update 1/17:

— the decal stickers are not still on the car.

I just remembered that my car comes with a bunch of free, but valuable additions:
1. A 30 lb canister of R12 refrigerant which is used for topping off the air conditioner.
It is worth a decent amount of money, and prevents ever having to spend serious money on converting the A/C unit to a different refrigerant.
2. A complete portfolio of all brand new O.E.M. hoses and belts for the 1986 corvette.
Obviously, a nice item to have on hand.

I’m having trouble reading data on tires. Getting on floor difficult, re I’m handicapped and presbyopia. Yokahoma
255-50 R16 99V. Car stored in climatically controlled garage. Warmed up and driven 15 minutes every so often. Car moved so tires not in one position always. Tires still have little rubber spikes on them.
No evidence of any rot. Let me keep R12 canister which wasn’t included at time of your offers, and
I’ll pay $500 if you need new tires, which you don’t and won’t. Pressure kept at 30 pounds and never any loss. New battery 4/18/19 and new alternator same date, and master brake cylinder. 9/4/20 new anti freeze and oil and filter changed and new main belt. Antifreeze changed every two years, and oil at least once to twice per year. Automatic transmission fluid clean and clear, so never changed. Mechanic says it’s perfect, as is transmission.

      I got it: DOT CCFY 8XD 3504
Even if manufactured 35th week 2004, I’m aware re dry rot and these tires “stored” in ideal fashion and no rot. I don’t want you or anyone getting hurt.
Obviously, your decision re putting on new tires.

    • Ilovebigtoys says:

I can see the dry rotting. It comes from the inside of the tire. Many times caused by filling air w/o a filter to extract the moisture from the air. So should I get the car I would have to change the tires. Here in Texas tire blow outs due to tire rotting can cause fatal outcomes. So I appreciate your $509 offer and will apply that at time of payment. These tires are 2122 yrs old. I have had to replace “perfectly good tires” many times on my collector cars. That and batteries just don’t last!

    • ptumlaut says:

I don’t want anybody to get hurt. Subtract $500 from $15,100=$14,600 and get whatever tires you desire.

      Will do
