This is a restored 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle Hardtop, featuring a 4-speed manual transmission. The restoration was completed in 2022, including the installation of a replacement 4-cylinder engine, housed in a meticulously clean engine compartment. The car boasts a striking 1979 Mars Red paint job in excellent condition.

Owned since 2008, the restoration journey began with an original yellow Beetle in 2017. Initially in good condition with a well-running original engine boasting approximately 106,000 miles, the car underwent extensive restoration. It was sandblasted down to bare metal, with minor rust repaired by replacing both rear fenders and the entire front hood, along with some minor repairs to the original front fenders. New running boards were added, and the floors, in very good condition, underwent minor repairs and were then undercoated.

The car now sports new aftermarket front and rear bumpers, along with all-new stainless trim. Inside, the interior features all-new tan vinyl seating, door panels, headliner, seat belts, and carpeting. A new dash shell covers the original dash, accompanied by an AM/FM disc radio, custom homemade dash inserts, a custom wood steering wheel, and custom Beetle floor mats. Brand new windshield and rear side windows enhance the aesthetics.

The front trunk compartment is in pristine condition, covered with matching carpet housing a full spare tire. All-new weather stripping has been installed, and the undercarriage, noted for its cleanliness, features dual chrome exhaust pipes. It rides on 165 80 R15 classic radial tires mounted on steel wheels adorned with sleek chrome moon hubcaps.

While all signals, lights, and most accessories work flawlessly, the rear defroster requires attention. Included with the car are some additional parts, including the original running boards.
