1973 Lincoln Continental Mk IV

Our Lincoln’s smooth and refined 460 cubic inch V8 provides effortless performance in the Continental with unbridled horsepower and torque and is in excellent condition today and runs superbly.

It is painted in original Ford Blue engine enamel on the block, intake, and heads as well as the factory air cleaner assembly and all sitting in a factory original but maintained engine compartment.

It also has Air Conditioning, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, a highway-friendly rear end gear, nice-sounding exhaust system, and rides on whitewall tires and steel factory wheels with chrome factory hubcaps.

The 460 cubic inch V8 engine is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated from the factory at 365 horsepower with the power being sent to the rear wheels via a C-6 three-speed automatic transmission.

The black leather interior is probably original, and with that in mind it’s in remarkable condition. It has very plush black leather bucket seats, black carpets, door panels, and headliner, wood on the dash, and all of Lincoln’s trademark square gauges are in good condition.

Options include factory A/C, cruise control, power windows, locks, and seats, and an AM/FM stereo radio.

The back seat is as spacious as many full-sized cars today, and the giant trunk is outfitted with more plush carpeting and a full-sized spare with its own matching cover.

Instrumentation is housed in individual square recesses, and includes a 120-mph speedometer, analog clock, fuel level indicator, oil pressure gauge, and coolant temperature gauge.

If you want a great American luxury car with big block power and a great look, our triple-black Mark IV has black paint all over the long, wide, and stylish body.

This car is very well preserved and has obviously been properly maintained all its life.

The black finish is glossy and rich, just the way you’d expect from a high-end luxury car. It’s not perfect and it’s been driven, but looks nice.

Chrome is abundant on the traditional upright grille, shiny bumpers, and the side trim, with the Continental’s trademark spare tire hump, oval opera windows, and black vinyl roof setting it off.

The 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV is a low mileage example of what luxury and performance cars were all about back in the seventies.

With great collector status, these cars are iconic machines, the likes of which we’ll never see again. For fans of luxury, few cars can touch the effortless ease of these bygone days of personnel luxury cars.

No mention is made to the operation of the power options and A/C systems. Also do the vacuum operated headlamp door work properly and do they stay closed when the engine is off.
    Thank you.
