LS3 RESTOMOD!

This second generation C2 convertible has been retrofitted with many modern updates, one of which is the addition of GM’s popular LS3 power plant. This version is rated at 480 H.P. , a far cry from the original 300 H.P. 327 V8 it originally came with. As with any proper restoration one must consider performance, braking, suspension, comfort, convenience and of course reliability. All these areas have been addressed and this wonderful build includes updated suspension and brakes, air conditioning and heating, sound deadening and insulation, appropriate wiring and instrumentation updates, and a much improved cabin with high end materials. When all of this comes together, the result is a beautiful classic automobile with the beauty and style the original designers intended, with the improved driving characteristics we all desire.

Restoration Details

The bulk of the restoration/upgrade work was performed between 2016-2020 by the previous owner. Our records indicate that Full Circle Restorations performed the proper installation of the new LS3, Tremec 5-Speed, Vintage Air, Classic Instrumentation, Wilwood Brakes, Ridetech  Suspension, and Borgeson Steering. They did an excellent job, once we acquired the car we took the car the rest of the way.

The interior was removed, we applied sound deadener to the floors, added thick jute padding and custom fit premium grade cut pile carpeting throughout the interior. The seats were refitted with enhanced contoured foam pads with custom Ultra Leather and suede seat covers. The door panels were built to match, the black chrome treated steering wheel has been custom wrapped with suede, ultra leather and perforated leather.

The odometer shows just 93 miles since the upgraded instrumentation was installed. The ground up restoration and exterior paint were restored before the updating process and shows extremely well, the body and frame are both in excellent condition.
