Sound’s like a rod knocking , what are the tops look like? Can you put them on

    • CapCity says:

I’m not sure if you have ever recorded a video of an engine running on your phone, but it puts out noises that just aren’t there in person. Not sure if it is the oversensitivity of the speaker phone option during recording or what, but there is absolutely no rod knock or anything negative at all. The engine was rebuilt recently as you can tell by the paint on the oil pan underneath and it runs perfectly.

There are pictures of the convertible top up in the gallery towards the end. I can get photos of the hard top, but it is with the owner, not with the car at the moment so can work on that for you.

It looks like the tac does not work. Do you have all the ignition/sparkplug shields? Is the carburetor still the one that came with the car? No leaks/weeps from the engine/transmission/rearend? Any idea of tire age?
