  • Why are you selling the car after 3 years and probably $20,000.00 invested. I do like the car but am concerned about condition. My last classic car was beautiful with $35,000.00 in receipts for recent work. It needed $16,000.00 of work to make it driveable.

    • Birdman says:

This Tbird is the last of my four-car collection, the other three I sold to pay for my cabin in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. I kept the Tbird but realized it was a mistake as I’m 35 miles, mostly on mountain roads to town, so I do not drive it much. Between myself and the previous two owners who did the majority of the frame off Restoration, then “Resto-Mod” work, there is easily over $45,000 invested in this beautiful Tbird. Yesterday I drove over 60 miles round trip to town and it performed beautifully. Came out from shopping and there was a group of admirers taking pictures and asking me as you are, “why was I selling such a beautiful car”? My answer was that I will have driven over sixty miles, on roads better suited for a Jeep than a pristine classic car! Your comment about your last car, I find odd that it is addressed to me, as my Tbird needs nothing to make it “driveable”, I assume you are just venting about a personal issue. Hopefully, I am not wasting my time talking to the scammer that bid $30,000 then locked out their credit card forcing ACC to ban him from their sites!

  • How long have you owned this car? Was anything done to shocks, springs and front end suspension? What caused the paint imperfection? Any photos of restoration?

    • Birdman says:

Had the Bird three years, shocks are air adjustable in the rear, leaf springs are firm with no separation or sag whole suspension redone when disc brakes installed. The video shows how clean and rust-free the undercarriage is. The paint chip in center of the roof was done by a cargo strap that was holding a car above mine on closed truck transporter. Refund back money to highest bidder to get it touched up.

    • Birdman says:

This Bird sold as a “frame-off” at Mecham in 2012 for $25K , then the new owner had the $12,000 leather interior installed, then motor rebuilt, and undercarriage was redone to include four wheel disc brakes, stainless exhausts, suspension.
