Artwork by Artist Michael Ledwitz 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

Hand Drawn 24 x 36 giclee print on canvas, that is in a wood frame

Sold For: $125 Questions

This is a hand drawn 24 x 36 giclee print on canvas, that is in a wood frame. I drew the scenery from a vintage photo, and then I drew the Gullwing to represent a day in the life of a GULLWING, and I think that it really captures the moment and the essence of what this car truly was, which was a marvel. The Gullwings on this car were just an incredible site to see when they were engaged and opened and it just created such a frenzy within the Automotive community . My grandfather went over to Italy in 1955 and he was going to buy a Gullwing and he decided against it because in first gear it will go up to 50 km/h and for the US wrote it was just too fast of a car at that time. So he bought a 190 SL but he always regretted it so I hope you enjoy it.
