A picture is worth 1000 words. Just take in the images of this beautiful Lincoln Model 66H* (Zephyr) Custom. Truly one of a kind. When it comes to rods and customs, 1936 to 1948 Lincoln Zephyr coupes are the definitive cars. Any level of customization is good, but a chopped top puts a Zephyr into the full-custom category. Plus, Zephyrs lend themselves to the sleek look provided by a chopped top. Some of these iconic Zephyr customs have sold for up to $400,000 showing how desirable they are. This was originally a California car that I purchased in Oregon. This has a solid body and undercarriage (see pictures).

This beauty would make a great movie car or showpiece!

Not all chopped tops are equal, but the one on this customized Lincoln nailed the proportions. The other subtle body mods enhance the look but dont overpower the well designed factory styling. She is a stunner. Its an older restoration that still wins shows and is admired by just about anyone that sees it. The paint while shiny and still looking very good has some flaws but again still stunning. Just spent $1000. on Ceramic coating so forget waxing and polishing for several years although regular maintenance of washing with ceramic solution is recommended.

POWERTRAIN

The engine is a Ford 302 V8 thats mated to a three-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and starts easily, runs great and shifts well. The electrical system was upgraded to 12 volts, with an alternator.

EXTERIOR

This Lincoln coupe is defined by its chopped top and the provided photos show a handsome quality chop

The bodywork was believed to be performed by West Coast Customs and painted by Tommy the Greek on the west coast. Again the paint and body work is older so while there are some flaws it still draws crowds wherever you go. The color is called Black Cherry and has a slight purple metallic look during the day or in direct sunlight or otherwise black.

INTERIOR

Interior is red leather and Its in very good condition with no rips or tears. The dash is original with that gorgeous Art Deco style. Headliner, carpet and door panels all in good condition. One thing I wanted to change but out of time Is that the front seat doesnt open forward to allow access to the back seat.

Some of the original gauges are inoperable but aftermarket temp, alt and oil pressure are in a custom center console.

The stereo works and it does have AC but needs a couple of brackets. Comes with a new chromed compressor.

CHASSIS

The suspension was lowered but how much I do not know and is from a Ford LTD. It has adjustable air shocks.
Power steering makes the steering effortless.

The wide whitewall radial tires are in very good condition highlighted by period-correct very cool moon style wheel covers.

BRAKES

Front disc power brakes makes stopping no problem.

BRIGHTWORK

Most of the exterior Chrome and brightwork is in show quality condition. The interior brightwork is older but in presentable condition.
