This custom automobile was originally conceived by Terry Cook and reflects the serious alteration of the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr he built which he named “Scrape.” The car won many awards and and this unique car was featured in many custom car related publication in the late 1990’s. Scrape was sold in Pebble Beach for a record $275,000.00. Fifty cars were originally built by Cook and this particular automobile was number 40 by the best estimate.

1939 Lincoln Zephyr Chrome

It is 27 feet in overall length and both wider and lower than the original 1939 Zephyr. It features the mellow sound of a dual Bose exhaust system. It has A/C, power windows, power steering and power disk brakes. Included is a stereo radio and Compact Disk player in the center console.

This vehicle has modern sealed beam headlights and a miniature closed circuit TV system to enable the driver to see what is behind when needed. It sets on a tubular custom frame featuring four independent coil over shocks. It is equipped with aluminum American Racing Wheels, fitted with narrow line P225/50R 16 tires.

      I answered this previously but it must have not went through. This is the original color and paint on this car. Terry’s original car was named”Scrape” and it was purple. It is now Black as of its second sale. This car was originally built for Huck Spaulding of Voorhesville New York and he showed it a number of times before his death. I purchased the car from his estate.
