1930 Ford Model A / Hot Rod is an old school custom build. The builder from Florida took the old steel body with glass fenders and matched with spoke wire wheels to give it that old school look and feel. The more you look at this, the more you understand how thoughtful the build really is.

For example, a classic hot rod would often just be a finished primer, and so the blue patina pays tribute to that. of course, you see they did do a lot of work on this steel by adding a steel top so you get that Hot Rod stance. The front grill and headlights with the fenders give it a very appealing front view.

There is an elegance in the simplicity of the interior. There is not much, but it sets the tone for the drivers atmosphere. It also has upgraded gauges that function like new gauges.

The hot rod is ready for The Race of Gentlemen TROG or ready just to cruise. The power plant is a 1953 239 Flathead V8 connected to a 5 speed manual transmission that works flawlessly. It has been converted over to a 12 volt setup with Autometer gauge and Sunpro Tach.

This is a highway driving car with 1935 Ford spoke wheels with 185R 14 wide track radial fronts and 285/70/15 Radial TA reassure. Current owner upgraded the exhaust with chrome tips. The frame has a wishbone suspension and a ladder bar rear with a 10 bolt rear ending.

Attention to classic details means aluminum Edelbrock intake with three Offenhauser carbs. Drive, Race cruise this one is ready. Please note this has cracked glass in front and rear side window. There is also a mounting bracket for a spare tire included.

I want to come and see this. Where are you? I know in Mass.

  • Wizardman1089 says:

Do all the gauges, controls, horn work OK?

    • faststock123 says:

Yes. All gauges work fine, it has an old style Ahooga horn…sounds great. The builder picked good components that match the old school style.

  • lucky6000 says:

Has the original patina been messed with? Has it been doctored-up to look like that? Also, how long ago was the engine rebuilt and about how many miles driven since then?

    • faststock123 says:

The original patina is just that original. It looks to me like many years of wear and tear…to get that look. Engine was rebuilt during 2021 build. Builder was from Florida and a capable mechanic. Unknown mileage on vehicle since rebuild. Likely less that a 1,000 miles.
