The 1968 model year marked the debut of the third-generation Corvette (C3), introducing dramatic, Mako Shark–inspired styling that defined late-1960s American performance. This example is finished in striking Rally Red, a color that beautifully complements the chrome bumpers and the classic black vinyl interior. According to the previous owner, fewer than 700 miles have been added since completion of the restoration, allowing the car to present exceptionally well while remaining ready to enjoy.
Power comes from the desirable 327 cubic-inch V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, delivering strong acceleration and an engaging, driver-focused experience. Equipped with power steering and front disc brakes, this Corvette offers confident road manners to match its iconic looks. The painted removable T-Tops provide open-air flexibility, making it ideal for seasonal cruising, local shows, and weekend drives.
The black vinyl interior presents nicely overall and complements the exterior color combination extremely well. Gauges, radio, heater, lights, turn signals, and wipers are functional. As shown, there is a small tear along one stitched seam in the upholstery. It is minor and repairable and does not detract from the overall presentation or enjoyment of the car.
Mechanically, the Corvette runs and drives very well, shifting smoothly through all gears including reverse, with strong power from the 327 V8. Included in the sale is a book documenting the restoration along with a 1968 Corvette shop manual—valuable additions for the next caretaker.
This is a sharp, well-presented C3 Corvette that captures the spirit of late-1960s American performance. The hard work has been done—now it’s ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed.
