The second-generation Camaro made its debut as a 1970 1/2 model, featuring a more European design flair characterized by the classic long hood and short rear deck proportions. Lower, longer, and sleeker, the early second-generation Camaros are finally starting to receive recognition in the collector car world.
This beautiful 1970 model split-bumper Camaro has undergone a full restoration, now boasting power, handling, braking, and performance to match its stunning styling. Painted in Cranberry Red with black racing stripes, this Camaro exudes understated performance. The wheels are modern aluminum interpretations of the original Camaro five-spoke Rallye wheel, designed for wider tires and larger brakes.
Under the hood lies a GM ZZ5 crate engine generating 400hp from 350 cubic inches. This aluminum head powerhouse is equipped with FAST fuel injection, MSD ignition, long tube headers, and chrome accents for added flair. Shifting gears is a joy, thanks to a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed transmission with a .56 fifth gear overdrive and a Hurst Blackjack shifter. At the rear is a Moser Engineering 12-bolt GM axle with 3.55 gears and Posi traction.
The suspension has been lowered and upgraded with a Hotchkis Stage 2 kit, while Wilwood 6-piston front and single-piston rear disc brakes bring this Camaro to a quick stop. Inside, the Camaro boasts a completely new interior featuring knit and vinyl bucket seats, Dakota digital gauges, Vintage A/C, power steering, and power brakes.

Any pics of the undercarriage and suspension mods? The gas tank looks modified, much squarer than a stock one, what has been done there?
