This 2005 Pontiac GTO is a well-kept modern muscle car showing just 44,526 original miles. Finished in striking Phantom Black Metallic and powered by the potent LS2 6.0L V8, it delivers effortless 400-horsepower performance. A clean, low-mileage example ready to enjoy or add to any collection.
As stated by one of our bidders, the seller has confirmed the following: shoutout to Troy S.!
Several aspects of this particular GTO make it incredibly rare…
1) In 2005, Pontiac added twin hood scoops as standard equipment to all GTOs. However, for buyers who preferred the flat hood from the 2004 GTO, you could special order the car with the RPO BZJ “FLAT HOOD” (Hood Scoop Delete) option. Only 28 cars were special-ordered with the flat hood in 2005, and this is one of them!
2) This car has the GM-produced Sport Appearance Package (SAP) which was a rare dealer-installed option for 2004 to 2006 GTOs. The kit included unique SAP-specific: recessed grilles, front lower bumper fascia, rocker panel side skirts, taller rear spoiler, rear bumper cover, and Magnaflow mufflers with quad tips. On this particular car, the mufflers have been deleted and replaced with straight pipes however it still retains the unique SAP-specific quad exhaust tips.
3) The CARFAX shows that this car was originally sold new in Hawaii, and it was built with RPO code VH2 “LABEL INFORMATION, BUMPER IMPACT, 2.5 MPH, HAWAII” to meet specific state-level bumper impact standards for cars originally sold or distributed in Hawaii. Research shows that only 49 GTOs were built with RPO VH2 in 2005.

Seller—If you lift up the spare tire cover in the truck, you should see the GM Service Parts Identification label on the underside. This label contains all of the RPO build codes for your car, and it should contain the codes BZJ and VH2.
To 2004-2006 GTO enthusiasts like myself, this is a very special car!
Photo of the RPO codes inside the trunk has been added to the end of the gallery. BZJ and VH2 are both present.
