BUILT TO DRIVE, DESIGNED TO STAND OUT.
Here’s a Cobra Replica that hits all the right notes—performance, craftsmanship, and attitude. Completed in 2001, this 1967-style Cobra was built by an engineer who turned his teenage dream into a reality. The project started with a Cobra Roadster 67 S/C kit from Antique & Collectibles in Buffalo, NY, a well-respected name in the replica world. From there, every component was chosen for reliability, power, and excitement.
At its core is a strong-running 351 Windsor V8, built to put out around 325 horsepower. A Tremec WCT-5 transmission and heavy-duty clutch transfer the power to a 9-inch rear end with 3.55 posi gears. The setup includes an Edelbrock manifold, Summit 600 cfm carb, and a Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fan to keep things cool. And yes—Jet-Hot coated headers and side pipes make sure this Cobra sounds every bit as good as it looks.
Ride and handling are sorted out with coil-overs at all four corners, a 4-link rear suspension with a Panhard bar, and manual disc brakes. Manual rack-and-pinion steering connects you to the road in a way modern cars just can’t replicate.
The body is finished in Mustang Chrome Yellow gel coat, and it wears it well. There are a couple of stress cracks near the side pipes—typical for fiberglass—but nothing that takes away from the car’s presence. It sits right on Torq Thrust wheels (15×7 front, 15×10 rear) wrapped in classic BF Goodrich T/A radials.
Inside, Corbeau Cobra seats, VDO gauges, and a heater/defroster setup keep it simple and focused. It’s also equipped with wipers and washer jets for real-world usability. Out back, you’ll find stainless steel roll bars and bumperettes, plus a chrome-plated rear bumper for that extra touch.
It’s has little over 20,000 miles on the clock and has always been stored indoors in a heated garage. The sale includes the original build manual, a photo album of the build, a cockpit cover, California car cover, and all receipts.
A few small things to note: the parking brake could use adjustment, the battery may need replacement, and the stress cracks near the pipes are purely cosmetic. But overall, this Cobra’s got the look, the power, and the right pedigree that makes it-an ideal car for spirited weekend drives, car shows, or simply adding excitement to your garage.
