Looks & drives like new. It’s hard to find one this nice! Features include light alloy rims, sports steering wheel, sunroof, limited slip differential, and Recaro seats. Finished in the original Topaz Brown Metallic with a black interior. It has had one repaint. All books and records since new are included, including the original window sticker. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts like a dream. The A/C functions but does not hold a charge.
NO RUST EVER.
In U.S. spec, the car uses BMW’s 2.0-liter, fuel-injected, 110-hp four-cylinder engine to drive the rear wheels. Wrapping a four-door body around this 2,380-lb package strikes a sensible balance between performance and refinement. The 3 Series was tamer and more sorted than the 2002, but could outpace nearly all of its peers. Contemporary reviews were mixed; all agreed that the car handled cleanly and precisely, yet disagreed on the effect on the driving experience. CAR magazine thought the car was emotionless and “clinical,” while Car & Driver praised the car for being “perfectly engineered and not boring.”
The “perfectly engineered” performance described by Car & Driver became a hallmark of every 3 Series to follow. The E21 was the first BMW to have the class and prestige to fit in at the corporate parking lot, yet offer the performance to please the company’s loyal enthusiast buyers. The E21 also introduced “yuppies” to the brand, and helped build BMW into the brand that it is today.

Seat posted
Do you have the original front factory seats ?
This is a Sport model that came with Recaro seats. The replacements are BMW seats. The picture I took this AM should be posted to clarify.
Thank you!
For now you can see the BMW logo in picture taken from passenger side.
Photo of the logo on the seat can be seen here- https://www.allcollectorcars.com/classic-car-auctions/vehicles/1978-bmw-3-series-sport-model/#&gid=1&pid=30

I’d like to see the underneath. I love these cars, but I bought one that clean from Florida years back, and when I got it (garage kept) spotless out side / inside carpet , but it was a flintstone car. No floors
