It was powered by a 2.5-litre straight-6 engine that produced 104 hp and 143 lb-ft of torque in the US market, where it was fitted with dual Stromberg carburetors instead of fuel injection due to emission regulations.

The TR6 was a popular model in the US, where it sold over 76,000 units from 1969 to 1976. It was praised for its handling, performance and timeless styling. The TR6 was discontinued in 1976, and replaced by the TR7 in 1977. It remains one of the most sought-after classic British sports cars today.

This specific car is in overall very nice original condition, with no rust, and only a few minor imperfections of the paint as shown. Car appears to have had one repaint done before the current owners purchase of the car a few years ago. The engine runs smoothly and the transmission shifts well.
