This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible is powered by its matching-numbers 455ci V8 with GA heads—the same used in W-30 models—paired with the original Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The engine has been balanced, resealed, and restored to factory specs, including correct date-coded WZ exhaust manifolds (Nos. 251 and 252), produced just a week before the block in September 1971. The car was built in the first week of October 1971.
Pulled from long-term storage in a California garage in 2016, where it had been parked since 1986, this 442 comes with the original 1986 pink slip and license tag. It retains all-original sheet metal, original side glass, and correct Paris number and date code.
Finished in black with Graphite stripes, this Cutlass 442 is well-equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth and upgraded front/rear speakers, a Ram Air setup, and Firestone Wide Oval tires. A true blend of originality, performance, and style.
