1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone

Originally purchased in mint condition as a Malibu with 32,000 original miles and a Virginia title (photo of original condition available), this car comes with the original 1971 Owner’s Manual, spare keys, broadcast sheet, and Chevrolet New Vehicle Warranty with the Protect-O-Plate.

The current owner, with 50 years of vehicle restoration experience, has crafted one of his finest restorations yet!

Starting with a flawless GonnaBSilver paint job and black racing stripes, all chrome has been replaced, and new badging installed. The front and rear windshields, grill, and headlights are all new.

The original wheels have been swapped for period-correct replacements – 15 x 7 American Racing Vintage VN105 wheels up front, and 15 x 10 in the rear, all wrapped in BF Goodrich tires.

Under the hood, a 396 small block stroker Crate engine replaces the original, paired with a 5-speed manual TKO-500 Tremec transmission. The carburetor is a 1906 Edlebrock AVS2 with electric choke, and custom hydro-dipped valve covers sit atop the engine. The rear differential boasts 3.73 gears, with SensaTrac shocks, new tubular performance control arms, sway bars, and Wilwood brakes. A new battery was installed in November 2023.

Inside, the interior has been fully upgraded to modern black from the original avocado green. Corbeau leather racing seats for the driver and passenger, a new console, and custom-made door panels match seamlessly. The rear seat is covered with a matching Corbeau leather seat cover. A new dash pad, carpet, headliner, and vintage gauges have been installed. The steering column is now a Flaming River tilt with a rosewood steering wheel, and a new Kenwood radio and speakers complete the package.

Since restoration, the owner has driven the Chevelle about 6,500 miles (current mileage is 38,512), and it performs flawlessly!
