If you know, how are the fender emblems attached to the woodgrain console?

As best as I am able to tell they are held on with some sort of glue or epoxy. I am unable to determine if there are mounting holes in the console or not.
Appears the tach is not functioning? Any other items not functional?
The only known non-functionals are the tachometer, as you mentioned, there is no radio installed, and the clock. All other equipment tested in working condition when the vehicle arrived.
Non matching engine and transmission? You don’t speak of originality, what is not original and what is not factory correct?
Hello and thank you for your question! in 1968 not all cars had a partial VIN stamp. Ford started to introduce this practice, but it did not affect all cars for this model year. Everything on the car appears to be date-code correct, which is about as close as you can get. The date-correct carb has been replaced with a similar Holley for drivability, but is included with the sale. The Marti report shows this as originally having a black convertible top, but it currently has a white convertible top. Outside of those two items, every aspect of the car is believed to be as correct as possible to the original build.
I will bid on this car knowing that the items you mentioned will have to be corrected. Does the tilt away wheel work correctly? Is the engine tag on the coil bracket? I also have noted for show purposes the tires would have to be replaced with the original type, shocks should be blue, air cleaner decal would have to be removed and the rubber seal added, caution fan decal must be removed, missing one trunk decal, needs Autolite battery cover and inner console lens replaced which may be impossible to find. Except for the lens I can remedy the rest. Thank you for your reply
