This one-family owned 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne is truly a unique find, and one of the cleanest, most well-preserved, and original ’63 Biscaynes you’ll come across!
This Biscayne has remained in the same family since it was purchased new from Tunkey Chevrolet on Broadway in Depew, NY. The car was originally bought by a mother for her son, who was too young to purchase it himself. The vehicle sat idle from 1975 to 1998 while the son served in the military. In 2000, he returned and began modifying the car. The exterior sports a striking red finish, while the all-original red cloth/vinyl interior, featuring a classic bench seat layout, remains in exceptional condition.
Under the hood, you’ll find a GM Gen IV 454ci/425 horsepower Big Block engine, paired with a GM Muncie M20 4-speed transmission. This GM crate motor, sourced from a 2002 performance parts catalog, delivers an impressive 425hp and 500lb-ft of torque, making this Biscayne a true powerhouse. The car also boasts a GM 4:11 posi rear end with a posi “O” case.
The vehicle comes with original documentation, including the selling dealer invoice (showing the car sold for just $1,648), the passenger car shipping order, broadcast copy, build sheet, parts catalog, and parts list. Remarkably, even two matchboxes from the original dealer, found in the ashtray, are included—one of which offers “2 steak dinners” if they couldn’t beat a competitor’s deal.
The exterior of this Biscayne has a bold look, with widened factory wheels that give it an aggressive stance. The paint, chrome, stainless trim, bumpers, glass, and lighting are all in excellent condition, considering the car’s age and originality. The interior is impressively clean, with well-preserved carpet, seats, door panels, dashboard, headliner, and more. It features a GM dash tachometer and a factory radio delete option. The trunk retains its original factory finish, complete with a mat, spare tire, and equipment, along with two factory wheels if you prefer a more original look over the custom rears.
The engine bay, housing the 454, is meticulously clean, featuring stylish valve covers, a proper air cleaner with dual intakes, a GM 800 CFM carb, and a GM 4-core radiator. The car also sounds great, thanks to Hooker Super Comp headers and a dual exhaust system. To ensure a smooth ride, this Biscayne is equipped with GM genuine parts, including a heavy-duty driveshaft carrier bearing and U-joints, dual rear-axle control arms, and a rear anti-sway bar.
This is a rare opportunity to own a well-documented, meticulously maintained 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne with a rich history—finding another one like it would be a challenge!

Has the left rear quarter, by the taillight been hit and touched up ? Seems to be a dark shadow in the pictures. Thank You
Has any rust repair been done and where? How many miles on the engine? On the car? Do you have more pictures of the bottom of the car? Does everything work – lights? Turn signals? Wipers? Horn? Heater? Defroster? Thank you.
from the seller:
No rust repair, no heater, everything else functional. Car supposedly has 15k miles on it. Not way to prove with the odometer zeroed out, motor is stated to have around 5,000 miles since install
