Ford’s glamorous 1962 Thunderbird was a star at birth. While at the peak of his popularity in the Fall of 1961, Elvis Presley purchased one of and an early Sports Roadster was featured on an episode of “The Twilight Zone”.

This particular Thunderbird definitely looks good enough to be a TV star with its slick Skymist Blue paint and black convertible top. All of the chrome and brightwork are in excellent condition and there certainly is a ton of it! Kelsey Hayes style chrome wire wheels, fender skirts, and sports roadster tonneau cover complete the look on such a sleek and stylish exterior. The odometer reading was given by memory and was a little high when the car was titled.

Open up the driver’s door and you will see a nicely restored black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a beautiful center console. You can get in and out with ease thanks to a tilt-away steering column, and have room for the rest of the family if you remove the tonneau cover.

Under the hood lies a healthy 390 CI V8 engine just the way it left the factory. All of the gear changes are done for you courtesy of the Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission.
