Presenting the 1932 Ford Model B Hot Rod Pickup. This custom build commenced with a 1932 cab and a new bed mounted on a specially crafted 1931 Model B frame featuring hairpin suspension, a 4-inch dropped and drilled axle, and a Mustang rear end. Powering this beauty is a 283 engine with a cam, equipped with Lake Style headers boasting 3 1/2-inch collectors and 1 5/8-inch exhaust with muffler inserts, complemented by a new aluminum radiator. Please be aware that the exhaust is legal in all states except CA, with motorcycle baffles added to slightly reduce exhaust notes. Coupled with an automatic turbo 350 transmission, this hot rod delivers both power and performance.
Enhancing the driving experience, this pickup features a Vega steering box and single-stage black paint throughout. The body has undergone a 4-inch chop and a 4-inch channel, with the brand-new grille lowered for a sleek appearance. Inside, custom metal Bomber-style seats with custom cushions adorn the cabin, with the passenger seat conveniently lifting to access the battery. All-new Speedway gauges adorn the dash, except for the fuel gauge, which is not connected due to the gas tank’s location in the bed. A banjo-style tilt steering wheel ensures easy access, while disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear provide reliable stopping power.
For added visibility, Glide LED headlights with turn signals on top illuminate the path ahead, while custom 1950 Pontiac tail lights grace the rear end. A new visor over the windshield adds flair and functionality, with newer tires mounted on American Racing wheels (255x70x15 rear, 195x60x14 front) completing the look. The bed is finished with new hardwood and houses a mounted stainless steel gas tank, offering both style and utility. Though fenderless in appearance, braces are retained on the bed for future use if desired. This pickup is undergoing window and rear glass installation and includes a new e-brake cable for added convenience.
