1929 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe — a true American classic.

After decades of dominance, Henry Ford finally phased out the Model T in 1927, leading to a six-month halt in production as factories retooled for its replacement: the Model A. The result was a more advanced, stylish vehicle that proved wildly successful, with nearly five million sold over just four years.

This particular Model A is powered by a flathead inline-4 engine producing 40 horsepower, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and Zenith 1 carburetor. True to its heritage, it features Ford’s iconic all-steel body. Owned for the past two years by a careful enthusiast who used it exclusively for car shows, it’s a definite crowd-pleaser.

Mechanically, it has been well cared for. The radiator and carburetor were replaced in the fall, and the undercarriage is solid and rust-free. While the odometer no longer functions, the previous owner estimated mileage between 50,000–55,000 (unverified). The amperage gauge works, but the fuel gauge stopped functioning after a smart upgrade was made to the fuel system to avoid common clogging issues—by raising the fuel draw level above the tank’s base sediment.

The interior is in very good condition with a clean dash, solid headliner, and well-kept seating. Some exterior paint imperfections—light chips and cracking—are visible in areas. Included with the sale is a new 3-speed synchronized transmission, still in the box and ready for install.

This 1929 Model A Coupe is an excellent example of a well-preserved classic and a fun piece of early automotive history. Clean title and ready for its next chapter.
