1969 CHEVROLET C20 (3/4 TON) LONG BOX
This is a very clean Factory C20 3/4 Ton Classic Chevrolet Pickup which has been partially restored as both needed and wanted. This C20 has 19,200 miles since the beginning of the restoration process and has been improved and further restored along these years. The work done has spanned years involving two previous senior owners and us. It has had a previous color change from light green to Dark Cherry Metallic and custom interior with a Grey Metallic color.
The new Chevrolet GM Crate Engine (with 8,000 miles on it) is running great and there is purchase paperwork included. There are new cast aluminum valve covers and air cleaner housing. The manual transmission has the cool “Granny Low” first gear. The truck is geared for low end power like a work truck was made back then. She starts right up and rides like a dream. I can drive it with one finger. The interior has been upgraded with a diamond padded dash, door panels, ceiling and seats. The seats have a cloth center inserts. The center seat moves forward and back. It has two inside storage compartments and a dual cup holder. The seat also has a third seat belt. The entire seat assembly was custom ordered and currently these similar model seat sell for a couple thousand dollars and up. There are new gauges and has a very nice center dash tachometer. The Pioneer stereo/CD player is new. The custom wood steering wheel is not huge providing a lot of leg room and one finger turns the wheel. This C20 is just a joy to start and drive into town and we will get compliments and thumbs up both ways too.
We purchased this truck after the older gentleman had passed away and the two under frame gasoline side tanks had been removed. They are clean inside and they come with the truck. The reverse back-up lights did not work and the transmission reverse switch was not connected and very hard to access. I installed a dash mounted rocker back-up light switch. It lights up blue when turned on and there are two large LED additional back-up lights added under the rear bumper area as well.
This 1969 Chevrolet C20 truck is always garaged and never driven in the rain or winter.
We own and have restored award winning classic cars, and this truck has won two first place trophies in three 2024-2025 classic car shows. It is eye candy as well as a comfortable tough truck. These older classic trucks are able to bring back our past adventures in life and offer a much more driver involved road trip experience. As we are getting older we are slowly pulling back from all the work I need to do to keep and maintain all our classics so we are letting a few go or I will burn out.
