The top does remove easily as designed but when the restoration was done, the top was siliconed down which is easy to cut through and remove. Everything on the Jeep performs normally. As soon as you get in, turn the key, it fires right up and runs really smooth. The engine is a Buick V6 that was the original engine for the vehicle. There is no rust on this vehcile and the body has been repainted about 4 years ago when it was restored. This is a factory made half cab. We have a video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI8QM2fs2HY
I hope this answers everyones
Nice looking rig. I would like to see the seller’s responses to the questions below and photos of the transfer case controls.
Does the top remove easily?
Does everything perform normally?
Is the engine and transmission original to vehicle?
How many miles?
Any rust or body repair?
Do you have a video of the car in operation?
Neither the first gen Kaiser Jeepster Commando nor the second gen (72-73}under AMC ownership ever offered a 2.3L v6. It would be good to know where it was sourced. Possibly a Ford Cologne engine.
Is this a factory made “truck” or an aftermarket custom? billpatton at aol
