This stunning 1938 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan Street Rod presents an impressive combination of classic style and modern performance. With its all-steel body—including the fenders and hood—this car retains its original sweeping design lines, free from rust and full of vintage character.

The frame has been fully updated with a Mustang II-style independent front suspension, power steering, and front disc brakes for a confident, modern driving experience. Under the hood lies a fully rebuilt 350 cubic-inch small-block Chevy V8 with a 4-bolt main. The engine features an Edelbrock-Erson top-end performance package, including new aluminum 200cc heads with 64cc chambers, 1.5 ratio aluminum rockers, a performance hydraulic cam, and a Holley 650cfm Brawler carburetor. Supporting components include a new harmonic balancer, dual-row timing set, mini high-torque starter, high-volume fuel and water pumps, FELPRO gaskets, and ARP hardware. Chrome PBM valve covers and oil pan add a clean custom touch.

Ignition duties are handled by a new HEI distributor with performance plug wires and heat boots, while the dual exhaust system with block hugger headers, 2.5-inch pipes, and 3-inch tips delivers an aggressive tone. Power is routed through a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission with modified shift points and a floor-mounted Lokar shifter.

The freshly restored cabin is appointed in gray tones throughout, featuring new silver/gray door panels, carpet, and headliner. Cadillac 6-way power bucket seats are fitted up front, with a matching rear bench and full seatbelts for all passengers. Modern touches include a Boss AM/FM Bluetooth stereo with USB connectivity, Dolphin gauges, a tilt column, and a bowtie steering wheel.

Finished in a sharp Deep Water Blue two-stage pearl paint with 2K Glamour Clear Coat, this Chevy turns heads wherever it goes. Complemented by Cragar chrome wheels wrapped in 235/60R14 front and 235/70R15 rear tires, it rides with an aggressive yet classic street rod stance. Additional highlights include new LED blue-dot taillights, new headlights, a new battery, and a power shut-off switch.

Minor Flaw: The passenger door is slightly out of alignment. Although the hinges have been replaced, the issue persists. It’s likely a minor adjustment to the striker plate or post is needed to properly align the door.

With its recent paint, rebuilt drivetrain, and fresh interior—all completed in 2022—this ‘38 hasn’t been driven since the work was completed, making it a ready-to-cruise, show-worthy street rod just waiting to hit the road.
