The 1956 Ford Thunderbird stands as a classic American icon, representing a pinnacle of automotive design. This particular model underwent a meticulous frame-off restoration and is finished in its original factory black, complemented by a striking two-tone black and white vinyl interior. The restoration, completed approximately 10 years ago, still retains its allure.

Recently, the seats were refurbished with new foam and vinyl upholstery, ensuring comfort and elegance. Additionally, a smaller, yet stock-looking steering wheel was installed, allowing for easier ingress and egress, especially for taller drivers. The original steering wheel accompanies the car.

Under the hood resides a potent 312 V8 engine mated to a 2-speed automatic transmission, delivering the smooth and responsive driving experience characteristic of this legendary vehicle. Whether cruising down the highway or meandering through town, this Thunderbird impresses with its performance and handling. The power seat adds a modern touch of luxury to its vintage charm.

This Thunderbird comes equipped with its factory hardtop, as showcased in the provided photos (stand not included). Notably, the factory radio and clock are non-working. The chrome on the Continental kit shows signs of aging, and the front bumper exhibits some scuffs. Although the body and paint remain largely pristine, there is a minor area of bubbling paint on the lower portion of the passenger-side door, which is documented in the listed photos. These imperfections, while minimal, could be easily rectified by a skilled individual with a paint gun.

With original miles showing 40,597 and an estimated 6,300 miles since restoration, this 1956 Ford Thunderbird transcends mere transportation—it embodies automotive history. Its timeless design, classic color scheme, and blend of modern features make it a captivating choice for any classic car enthusiast.
