Can we discuss your use of the word, “Bubbletop”? I have never seen a ’61 Chev big body in a 2 door hardtop that didn’t have this top. Have you? Now in ’62, early Bel Air 2 drht’s had this top, later ones didn’t, and the early ones were referred to as ‘bubble tops’ to distinguish them from the later models, but this wasn’t the case in ’61 to my knowledge. Before the ’62 late versions came out, we never heard of a bubble top, especially when referring to a ’61. Can you extrapolate on your use of the term as applies to this car, please?
