1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am — a classic T-top coupe in very good overall condition, owned by the current owner for over 30 years. This Blaze Red Trans Am with louvered hood, ground effects, and rear spoiler has 153,000 original miles and retains its original 5.0L 305ci Tuned Port Fuel Injected engine, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with console shift. The engine’s top end was rebuilt in 2021, including a new alternator and battery.

Comfort and convenience features include tilt steering with leather wrap, power steering, power door locks and windows, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. In 2023, the car received new power brakes, master cylinder, and booster, and the stock rear end has been rebuilt.

The body is in very good shape, with one repaint in the original Blaze Red—ground effects were darkened during the process. Paint shows minor imperfections consistent with age. The interior is clean, featuring a full factory gauge cluster with tachometer, newly re-covered cloth seats, new headliner, new carpeting, and TA floor mats with the Rising Phoenix logo. An aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM stereo with iPod and MP3 compatibility has been added.

The trunk is spacious and practical, with fold-down rear seats for extra storage. The undercarriage is clean with some minor surface rust and features a dual exhaust system. The car rides on newer BF Goodrich Comp-2 Radial tires mounted on original factory alloy wheels in good condition and retains factory tinted windows. T-top covers are included.

All systems function except the air conditioning, which was disconnected and unused for over 30 years; all components are intact and could be restored. Mechanically solid, this Trans Am drives well and is a strong, reliable driver that could shine even more with some cosmetic attention. Recently passed MA state inspection, stored in Massachusetts, and comes with a clean title in the owner’s name.
