1984 Jeep CJ-7 4×4, fully restored and tastefully modified in a frame-off build completed between 2020 and 2022. This Jeep was completely disassembled, the frame was powder-coated, and the body was refinished in a striking custom Make-A-Wish Blue. Power comes from a rebuilt 4.2L inline-six fitted with a later-model fuel-injected cylinder head, paired with a rebuilt Borg-Warner T-5 five-speed manual transmission and Dana dual-range transfer case with 4:1 gears.
The drivetrain includes Dana 30 front and AMC 20 rear axles, both equipped with Eaton Truetrac limited-slip differentials. The suspension features a 2.5-inch Rough Country EZ-Ride lift kit for improved ground clearance and comfort. Additional upgrades include an oversized ECP aluminum radiator, AGR heavy-duty steering box with reinforced drag link and tie-rod, and a custom 2.5-inch exhaust with Dynomax muffler.
Exterior features include a white hardtop, Warn Rock Crawler front bumper, Badland Apex 12,000-pound winch, black fender flares, 5-inch KC Apollo fog lamps, and wagon-style 15-inch steel wheels finished in white, wrapped in 31×10.5-inch Open Range All Terrain tires. A matching spare is mounted on the rear carrier.
The interior was refreshed with Bestop Trailmax Pro front seats in black leather, a roll bar, passenger grab handle, crank windows, and updated carpeting. The simple, functional dash houses a three-spoke steering wheel, voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, and an 85-mph speedometer with inset fuel and temperature gauges. The odometer shows 139,000 miles, though actual mileage is unknown. The current owner reports fewer than 2,000 miles driven since the build was completed.
Originally sold as part of a Make-A-Wish charity auction in 2022, the Jeep was driven approximately 100 miles before being acquired by the current owner in 2023. It runs, drives, and shifts beautifully, with a clean undercarriage and solid overall presentation.
Stored in Massachusetts with a clean MA title in the owner’s name, this CJ-7 is an excellent example of a thoughtfully restored and upgraded classic Jeep—ready for weekend trails or sunny-day cruising.
