“Some of the most memorable automobile designs from the 1960s include the 1968 Pontiac lineup from General Motors, a year when Pontiac delivered some of its most beloved models.” — Motorcities National Heritage
This 1968 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible, once owned by drag racing legend Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick, is presented in its factory-original Solar Red exterior with a matching red interior and an Ivory White convertible top.
Under the hood is a rebuilt 400 cubic inch V8, factory-rated at 340 horsepower, paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Believed to have just 10,882 miles, as documented by Beswick himself, this Bonneville drives remarkably close to showroom condition.
The body shows beautifully with laser-straight panels, excellent fit, and a stunning paint finish. One of only 7,358 Bonneville convertibles produced that year, it came factory-equipped with power steering, power brakes, tilt steering column with 3-spoke wheel, power windows, a bench seat with retractable belts, and a pushbutton AM radio.
The striking Solar Red paint is complemented by elegant details like hideaway headlights, fender skirts, whitewall tires, and factory 8-lug wheels.
With its low documented miles, iconic ownership history, and outstanding presentation, this 1968 Bonneville is a standout piece for any classic car collection.
