This beautifully restored 1953 Ford F-100 marks the debut year of the iconic light-duty pickup line, introduced to celebrate Ford Motor Company’s 50th anniversary. Not only was 1953 the launch of the F-100 nameplate, but it also brought major interior upgrades focused on comfort and practicality, developed using Ford’s new “Measuring Man” test dummies. Buyers responded enthusiastically—F-100 half-ton trucks made up half of Ford’s total production that year.

Built at the Dallas, Texas assembly plant, this example wears a period-correct Seafoam Green finish and features a properly restored cloth and vinyl bench seat with original-style rubber floor mats. The cab includes a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission, factory heater/defroster, added turn-signal indicators and accessory gauges, and a factory steering wheel capped with the special “50th Anniversary 1903–1953” horn button.

Under the hood, you’ll find a clean, factory-detailed Code D “Cost Clipper” inline 6-cylinder engine, factory-rated at 101 horsepower. Steel wheels with Ford-script chrome hubcaps, refinished wood bed flooring, stake rails, and painted bumpers complete this striking first-year F-100. A standout example of one of Ford’s most beloved and timeless truck designs.
