1973 Chevrolet Nova SS Custom Coupe 350

“Some muscle cars are restored. Others survive.”

This documented 13,090-mile 1973 Chevrolet Nova SS belongs to a very small group of cars that remain remarkably original. Finished in its original Burgundy paint over a black bucket-seat interior, this Nova has been carefully preserved rather than restored, allowing it to retain the authenticity and character that serious collectors value. According to the owner, it retains its original 350 V8, original 3-speed manual transmission, and original Positraction rear axle, making it an exceptional survivor from Chevrolet’s muscle car era.

Having spent its life in the dry climate of El Paso, Texas, this Nova has benefited from decades of careful ownership and garage storage. The original SS appearance package, factory striping, and remarkably preserved presentation reflect a car that has been appreciated rather than altered. Inside, the bucket-seat interior remains exceptionally well cared for, showing only minimal wear consistent with its claimed mileage, while the original 350 V8 and factory 3-speed manual transmission provide the authentic driving experience enthusiasts remember.

Accompanying this Nova is an exceptional collection of original factory documentation rarely found together today. Included are the original window sticker, Protect-O-Plate, partial broadcast sheet, buyer’s order, dealership quotation, owner’s manual, warranty booklet, sales brochure, and additional factory literature. Together, these documents help tell the story of the car from the day it was ordered through delivery, adding an extra level of authenticity and collector appeal that few survivor cars can match. Original documentation of this depth is seldom found with a survivor Nova and significantly enhances its collector appeal.

For collectors who appreciate originality over restoration, this Nova represents an increasingly rare opportunity. It’s more than a classic muscle car—it’s a remarkably preserved piece of Chevrolet history with the documentation to support its story. As enthusiasts often say, it’s only original once, and opportunities to own a documented survivor of this caliber become fewer with each passing year.

    • ACC Auctions says:

      Seller said-

he believes it’s the original paint. The car has 13k miles, always in a garage with 3 owners and a dealership. The original owner bought it and kept it up to about 5 years ago and he told the current seller that its the original paint. The rubber moldings on doors and windows, trunk molding, engine bay, and wheel wells all look clean.

  • ACC Ken says:

As this Nova heads into its final hours, it’s worth taking one more look at what makes it special. Originality, documentation, and preservation are qualities that simply can’t be recreated. With its original window sticker, Protect-O-Plate, partial broadcast sheet, buyer’s order, and remarkably well-preserved condition, this is the kind of collector car that becomes harder to find every year.
“Every great collector car deserves its next great caretaker.”
