This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS sport coupe was refurbished and modified under prior ownership with work that involved repainting the body in teal blue as well as installing a 383ci stroker V8 that is topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a Barry Grant four-barrel carburetor and is linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. Inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl and accompanied by a Hurst shifter and a cassette stereo. Additional equipment includes an aluminum radiator, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, Retro 15″ alloy wheels, and a dual exhaust system with headers and Flowmaster mufflers. This Malibu SS sport coupe was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026 and is now offered with a California title.
The car left the factory finished in Evening Orchid and was refinished in blue under prior ownership. Equipment includes quad headlights, chrome bumpers, SS badging, a driver-side mirror, quarter vent windows, and wheel-arch moldings.
The Retro 15″ alloy wheels have black centers and are mounted with 225/60 front and 245/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as power-assisted front disc brakes with rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl and accompanied by coordinated carpets and door panels. A Hurst T-handle shifter is installed along with an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo unit.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, charging status, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. Summit Racing gauges for water temperature and oil pressure are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles.
The 383ci stroker V8 is topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a Barry Grant four-barrel carburetor. An aluminum radiator is installed along with fabricated aluminum valve covers.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.54:1 Positraction differential. Full-length headers feed into a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers.

It’s a real SS and it should have the right grill. Also the rear end is a 10 bolt. Otherwise, real nice car.
I can comprehend why you might change the color (personal choice) although Evening Orchid is also beautiful and desirous. However, I cannot understand why you would put a 1964 front grille in lieu of the correct 1965 grille.
just the grill? I’d expect to see the hood and bumper to be a bit more pointy.
