1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone

This 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone underwent refurbishment and modification under previous ownership and was initially sold on BaT in May 2022. Painted in Peacock Blue over white, it is powered by a 289ci V8 engine mated to a Ford Racing T-5 five-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. Notable features include power steering, power front disc brakes, Calvert adjustable shock absorbers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley 600 CFM carburetor, dual exhaust system, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator, Hurst shifter, and a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo. The car comes with service records, refurbishment photos, car show awards, and a clean North Carolina title.

Under previous ownership, the car underwent a bare metal stripping and refinished in Peacock Blue. It sports chrome rocker and wheel opening trim, a wind split hood ornament, Comet and Cyclone badging, quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, and dual-outlet exhaust. The 14″ steel wheels with chrome covers are wrapped in 215/75 Hankook Optimo H725 white stripe tires, with a full-size spare in the trunk. Power steering and braking are supported by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Rear springs, Calvert adjustable rear shock absorbers, and front disc brakes were installed previously.
