1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe brought to you by Zoom Classic Cars. Purchased in 2015 by the current TN owner as a pristine example of an original 1940 all Henry Ford Steel 6 volt car in tremendous condition with beautiful paint and trim and 78K original miles at the time.

Body of the car was in perfect condition, never wrecked and absolutely no bondo whatsoever. From there the owner put the car through a thorough “refresh” to bring the car as you see it today. Under the hood you’ll find a completely rebuilt 1953 Ford 240HP Flathead V8 topped with 3 two Barrel Stromberg 97 carbs with chrome air cleaners. New aluminum 4 passenger radiator and fan. Shorty Headers and new pulley system. Car has been completely rewired to a new 12 volt system.

Vintage AC installed. Also new gas tank and all fuel lines. 5 Speed electronic transmission.

Exterior of the car is in outstanding condition and features an exceptional repaint in original color Maroon enamel paint that shines beautifully. All new chrome bumpers and headlight bezels from Dennis Carpenter. All new 12V lights, blinkers and LED taillights. Original blemish free glass all around.

With the tan cloth interior you’ll find all new carpet with floor insulation, new insulated door panels, Original seating that has been rebuilt to factory specs with new original Mohair seat cover purchased from England. The original dashboard has been upgraded with electronic gauges and a 1940 Zenith factory radio that has been converted to AM/FM. Original steering wheel in excellent condition. The original headliner is completely intact and is also in excellent condition.

Underneath the car is very clean and features 2 inch dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers, new shocks and springs, new rear end with 3.5:1 gear ratio. Car has manual disc brakes in the front and large drum brakes in the rear. Car rides on new Coker 205/75/15 whitewall steel belt tires mounted on wheels with new Chrome center hubs and beauty rings. New horn, trunk and hood springs as well.

Car has been driven only 1200 miles since refresh and comes with TN title in owner’s name with TN issued VIN # and two like new year of Manufacture transferable TN license plates.

Owner also has the original numbers matching engine, transmission, radiator, rear end and axle for the car which will be sold included in the sale – see pictures. Over $70K invested in the beautiful Ford Deluxe.
