Chrysler

History

Originally one of the "big three" automobile manufacturers in the U.S., Chrysler was founded in 1924 by Walter Chrysler from the remains of the Maxwell Motor Company. Since that time, Chrysler has been reacquired, expanded, and modified, existing today as a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Style

The original vehicles included a carburetor air filter, high compression engine, full pressure lubrication, and an oil filter (all of which were absent from other vehicles at that time). Other early innovations include the first practical mass-produced four-wheel hydraulic brakes, a system completely engineered by Chrysler with patents assigned to Lockheed, as well as rubber engine mounts to reduce vibration.
