2021 Ford GT For Sale - Custom One-Off Livery Inspired By The Original Ford GT40 Prototype GT/105 LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 2021 Ford GT Ford announced the newest generation of the Ford GT, thousands of people applied for the opportunity to be able to purchase their newest Halo supercar. An unprecedented demand sparked a bit of chaos within Ford, as this is an exclusive halo supercar, with Le Mans racer inspired technology, and some serious track capability and not just anyone could purchase one new. With such limited production, Ford allocated these cars to only worthy applicants who had proven their love for the brand. When Legendary Motorcar was given the opportunity to order the new Ford GT, we looked to the most special original examples for inspiration. Being that the original GT40 Prototype GT/105 resides in Legendary’s collection and is one of the three remaining prototypes, we thought it would be appropriate to honor the origins of the GT40. GT/105 was completed in early 1964 and is one of three remaining factory prototype examples and is the only example still left today in its original configuration. It was a test, development and race car for the factory. It was the first GT40 to ever run the howling 289ci Ford V8 (an engine it had from birth) and the first GT40 to ever run the ZF gearbox. It was the 1965 Le Mans Test car, and competed at Reims, Sebring and Daytona as a works car. During its life as a factory racer, it would be driven by Driven by Le Mans winners, Formula 1 champions, and greats including: Richard Attwood, Bruce McLaren, Jean-Louis Schlesser, Phil Hill, John Horsman, Sir John Whitmore, Frank Gardner, Roy Salvadori, Bob Bondurant, Jochen Neerpasch, Giancarlo Baghetti, Maurice Trintignant, Peter Sutcliffe, Bob Grossman, Innes Ireland and Umberto Magliol With the original GT/105 as the inspiration, this matching serial number GT was treated to a one-off paint scheme as designed by the team at Multimatic and Ford. The only example with this livery which features a Frozen White base, with a dark blue painted hood and over the roof stripe just like the original GT/105. As with all third generation Ford GT’s, power comes from a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine generating 647hp and 550 ft/lbs of torque, with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additional options include Six point harness anchors, Blue painted brake calipers, Satin Silver painted wheels, titanium lug nuts and car cover. The car is accompanied by a spare key, owner’s manuals, window sticker, build sheet, GT battery tender, air compressor, front license plate bracket and fitted indoor car cover. Since taking delivery, it has only been driven a mere 56 miles and remains in absolutely showroom-new condition. Interestingly, these particular cars offered the inspiration behind the 2022 Heritage Edition Ford GT cars made available to the public. As with any collector car, a one-off factory-built example, like this special 2021 Ford GT offered, brings a premium in the market today, tomorrow, and is steadfast as a true future collectible.
