"2010 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
In 1951 a group of Harley Earl's ""Special Projects"" crew began work on a GM sports car. Bob McLean designed a general layout for the car which was originally code named, ""Opel."" William Durant, the founder of GM, said a wallpaper pattern he saw in a Paris hotel in 1908 inspired the bow tie logo. Supposedly, he ripped off a small piece of it and brought it back to Detroit. Myron Scott, at the time Chevrolet's Chief photographer, is credited with coming up with the Corvette name, drawing from the small, fast warships of the ""Corvette"" class.
For consignment a 2010 version of the nimble warship, with snubbed lines in the rear, and a curvaceous front end. A mere 17,600 actual miles are clicked, so that speaks loudly as to condition and use. Perfect color combination that is not rare, but certainly awesome. This non hidden headlight version brought the new era of the 2010 Corvette into light. (Pun!)
Cyber Gray with a black metallic hood stripe, draped over undulating lines up front. The iconic Corvette crossed flag logo on the hood is the version with a left checkered flag, and a right bow tie and fleur de leis which plays homage to Louis Joseph Chevrolet's French roots. As we move rearward there is a small air intake on the front quarter which carries rearward as a fading indentation into the doors. The curved back greenhouse glass deck dies into a stubby wide rear with the round tail lights and dual mode exhaust.
Black curving door panels leads us into the black leather buckets split apart by a rolling forward center console. This continues forward and ascends into the curving dash with a digital screen where various functions can be displayed. The white glowing backlit instruments are set within a curved dash reminiscent of the 1950's versions of the interior. Black carpet floods the floors.
The original 6.2 Liter SFI V8 which produces a whopping 430 horses, is fed by electronic fuel injection. This mill setup is backed by a TR6060 6-speed manual transmission, and a 3.42 posi GM rear.
A mixture of aluminum and steel work together to form the ground effects aero undercarriage. Absolutely clean under here. C6 Corvette suspension all around as well as power disc brakes, and a dual exhaust.
A sweet car with a very low center of gravity has us glued to the ground around the curves. A nice rumble from the V8, and EFI gives us quick response off the throttle. All conveniences are fully functional and we car kept well insulated within out techno cocoon.
A very low mileage version of the C6 Corvette, which sports an interesting side view, plenty of power and interior creature comforts. Very pristine Cyber Gray covered fiberglass in excellent condition, and a wonderfully clean and sound undercarriage. Americas favorite sports car wrapped within the 2010 version.
