"In 2003, Chevrolet celebrated one of the most important milestones in its history with a unique, new 50th Anniversary version of the fifth-generation Corvette. Now showing just 6,277 miles, this 2003 Corvette is one of 4,085 Sport Coupes ordered with the Code 1SC 50th Anniversary Edition Package. All 2003 Corvettes wore special identification that included 50th Anniversary identification badges on the hood and rear decklid; the 50th Anniversary logo was also used in promotional materials and, with the exception of the Z06, on the tachometer and speedometer displays. Corvette buyers could add extra exclusivity with the 1SC package, which added $5,000 to the bottom line but translated into tremendous bang for the buck. Identified by special Anniversary Red ""Xyrallic Crystal"" paint, the Anniversary package included special front fender badges and Champagne-painted, 18-inch aluminum wheels. The unique two-tone Shale interior was the first of the C5 generation not to use a black dash panel and added leather trim to the armrests and door handles, as well as special 50th Anniversary logos embroidered on the headrests and floormats. In addition to those exclusive touches, every 50th Anniversary Corvette incorporated Magnetic Selective Ride Control, heads-up display, electrochromic mirrors, three-position memory package, twilight sentinel and a power tilt and telescopic steering column. It all added up to tremendous value in a Corvette already offering power rack-and-pinion steering, 4-wheel independent suspension and power disc brakes, power windows, mirrors and locks, fog lamps, power-operated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and a removable roof panel in coupes. Powered by the potent all-aluminum LS1 5.7L/350 HP small-block V-8, this 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette is fitted with the 4-speed automatic transmission and 3.15 performance axle rear end, and it also features a tinted glass roof panel and a Bose AM/FM CD stereo. Documentation includes a copy of window sticker and owner's manual.
