Mankato, MN 56001
"1991 GMC Syclone pickup, a rare performance pickup truck known for its turbo all wheel drive accelleration and distinctive features. This particular vehicle boasts an exceptionally low mileage of 13,395, with a clean Carfax report and no accidents, having spent its entire life in California. Only about 2,950 Cyclones were ever produced, all in black, making this model a coveted collector's item. The truck is powered by a turbocharged 4.3L V6 engine paired with an automatic transmission featuring overdrive, delivering remarkable power and all-wheel drive capability. Tasteful modifications made to the engine and vehicle systems, including power adders and enhancements like water-methanol injection, electric fans, and electronic fuel pump switches. These modifications enhance performance without compromising the truck's classic appeal. The exterior paint shows minor imperfections, such as some pimpling on the hood, but overall the truck's black finish shines well with minimal nicks. The aerodynamic cladding and blacked-out grille and bumper add to the aggressive and sleek look of the Syclone. Inside, the interior remains largely original but features custom touches like embroidered Syclone seats with red piping, power windows and locks, and AM/FM cassette player (noting a cracked speaker). The dash includes modern aftermarket gauges such as a boost gauge, air-fuel ratio meter, and additional VDO performance gauges. The truck is equipped with amenities like air conditioning and cruise control, blending performance with comfortable, modern usability. Modifications and plumbing have been done to optimize performance. Ported turbine housing, J&S Safeguard controller, ATR cold air box, 6"" velocity stack, dual 6"" SPAL cooling fans, a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, and 36lb fuel injectors, to name a few. On the road the truck is quiet, smooth, and fun to drive, with responsive turbo power that does not feel jerky or overwhelming. The truck corners well and feels stable.
