From its modest beginnings with fewer than 700 units sold in '69, the Trans Am grew into a cultural icon by the late 1970's with annual sales of over 90,000 cars and every teenage boy in America dreaming of owning one. This amazing 1980 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Trans Am may be the finest example out there and surely belongs in a museum or a major collection. As a museum quality stunner with only 1932 miles, this gem looks as if it just emerged from a time capsule. Beneath the iconic hood graphics rests a 301 V8 fortified with an AiResearch TBO305 turbocharger and various internal modifications. Additional features include power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, automatic transmission, T-Tops, front and rear stabilizer bars, 3.08 Safe-T-Track rear end, tilt steering, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, rear window defogger, and 225/70R15 tires wrapped around alloy wheels. Proof? All 5 tires (including space saver spare with compressed air) are date coded 1979 or 1980!
