1977 VW SUPER BEETLE CONVERTIBLE. OVERALL, THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THIS IS NOT A PROJECT CAR. IT'S TURN THE KEY AND GO. GOOD BEETLES ARE HARD TO FIND. MANY HAVE POOR QUALITY, OLDER RESTORATIONS. THIS CAR RUNS GREAT. IT STARTS RIGHT UP EVERYTIME. THERE ARE NOT ANY FUNNY NOISES EITHER. I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS AGO AND DO NOT HAVE ANY REASON TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE. I WAS ALSO TOLD ITS A MATCHING ENGINE (AJ113569) AND AFTER A LITTLE RESEARCH I BELIEVE IT TO BE TRUE. THE TRANSMISSION FEELS VERY GOOD. IT EASILY GOES INTO EVERY GEAR AND THERE ARE NO GRINDING NOISES IN BETWEEN. THE BRAKES ARE A LITTLE SOFT BUT WILL LOOK FURTHER INTO IT THIS WEEK. ALL THE LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THE BODY WAS REDONE 5 YEARS AGO AND STILL LOOKS GREAT. THERE ARE NO WAVES IN THE BODY AT ALL. THE PAINT JOB LOOKS WAY BETTER THAN NEW. IT WAS REPAINTED ITS ORIGINAL COLOR OF BLUE, BUT THIS PAINT HAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF METALLIC IN IT. THERE IS NOT A DROP OF RUST ON THE BODY AND ALTHOUGH I AM SURE THERE WAS SOME FILLER USED, YOU DON'T SEE ANY OF IT. THE WHEELS ARE AFTERMARKET AND THEY LOOK GREAT ON THIS BUG. MOST OF THE RUBBER LOOKS LIKE IT WAS REPLACED AND WHAT WAS NOT IS STILL IN GREAT SHAPE. THE BUMPERS ARE VERY PRESENTABLE AND WHILE THEY DO HAVE SOME OF THE NORMAL SURFACE SCRATCHES, THEY ARE NOT RUSTY. THE GLASS IS ORIGINAL AND FREE OF ANY CRACKS OR DISCOLORATION. ALL THE WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN AS WELL. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP SHOULD BE REPLACED TO FINISH OFF THIS BUG. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NOT ANY TEARS OR HOLES OF THE TOP SURFACES, THE CORNERS HAVE SHRUNK AND THE TOP AROUND THE SIDE WINDOW HAVE ALSO SHRUNK. THE FRAME UNDERNEATH IS IN GREAT SHAPE. THE INNER LINER UNDER THE TOP IS ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE. I ALSO DO NOT SEE ANY LEAKING EITHER. THE INTERIOR IS GREAT. AND NO, I AM NOT SAYING ITS SHOW QUALITY, BUT, FOR THE AGE OF THIS CAR AND ITS ORIGINALITY I AM SAYING ITS VERY NICE. THE SEATS DO NOT HAVE ANY RIPS OR TEARS.

Can I Speak directly with the owner? With all the rising scams on Craigslist and other sites, sellers list with us to protect their privacy. So in most cases the owner only wants to talk with ClassicCarDeals and we deal with the buyer, but there is a rare occasion where we can do a 3 Way phone Call with the owner. We and the owner are more than happy to get any and all questions and pictures that you need to make a sound decision.
Is The Car Available? The inventory on our site changes all the time, so there may be a small number of cars that will be sold when you call.
