Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to present this awesome 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle in yellow on black.Formally known as "Type 1", the Beetle has been around since the 1930s. To this day, the Beetle has retained its small curvy body everyone loves. Beetles are fun to work on, stylish, and light little cars famous for their air cooled flat 4 cylinder rear mounted engines. The Super Beetle Trim was first offered in 1971, and was officially named the VW 1302 for those first two model years. This 72 Super Beetle really is a cool one. The paint is a solid yellow, and has held up very well. The luggage rack on top really adds to the fun beachy aesthetic. inside and out this Beetle is in great shape. The seats are really nice and comfortable, especially the rear bench. The 1600 cc fuel-injected engine is a mean little powerhouse that runs nice, as does the smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission. According to the owner, both were rebuilt in 2015, and have about 10,000 miles on them. The engine bay door is mounted for open intake, so you can really hear that motor as you gun it through the streets.
