Garage Kept Motors is very proud to offer this fully restored 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS 396. This car was built at the Willow Run plant in Michigan and was shipped and sold in Canada and comes with complete documentation on its Canadian ownership. It was clear this car was ordered to do one thing, go fast as there are few options that contribute to anything but lowering the cars ET.
The restoration on this numbers matching drivetrain Nova is thorough and still presents showroom fresh and comes with full documentation of the process this Super Sport Chevy underwent to bring this car back to nearly showroom fresh condition. The finish is the correct factory Forest Green paint and has been professionally applied over flawless body work and polished to a high luster. Panel fit is consistent and straight on all the panels, and honestly exceeds factory build standards. The chrome bumpers and related stainless trim has been restored or replaced and looks amazing. All the correct SS emblems and trim are present and look new.
Inside the interior of this boulevard bully is sparse with very few options. The black interior is fully restored to nearly new condition. No carpet or floor sound deadener to add weight, just the rubber mat covers the floor. The only options are the AM radio and the rear defogger which we speculate that intent of the defog option was to keep the rear window clear so you could see your competition more clearly in the rear-view mirror! Beyond that all additional money was directed towards the drivetrain and suspension.
The suspension features the F41 heavy duty suspension with front and rear sway bars and factory limited slip rear differential to help keep the correct Firestone Wide Oval bias ply tires well planted to the pavement. Power assisted front disc brakes further the strictly performance attitude of this SS Nova and there is no horsepower robbing power steering. The undercarriage restoration is accurate including all the correct chassis markings and inspection paint dabs. The suspension and related components have all been removed, rebuilt or replaced and installed to duplicate a factory fresh appearance.
Under the hood is highly restored as well with all the correct factory markings and decals. All components used to restore the numbers matching 396 V8 are exactly the same as used when this Nova was assembled at the GM Willow Run plant. No detail was overlooked in restoring the 375-horsepower big block including the correct cooling hose markings and even the factory spring clip battery cables with correct part numbers. When the motor is fired up the music coming from the factory dual exhaust is pure muscle car rock and roll with that rumbling idle that only a Chevy big block can produce. The rumble at idle turns to a roar as you run the M21 Muncie 4 speed transmission through the gears shifting it with a Hurst shifter.
This car is fully detailed and show ready. It no doubt will be the hit of any car show and cruise in, drawing lots of attention, but we suspect the real fun will be the ride to and from the show! Please call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.

Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
