1969 Chevrolet Corvette - Numbers Matching, Documented L71 427/435hp Tri-Power LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Convertible The 1969 Corvette marked the second year of the sports car’s third generation, and just a few exterior cues differentiate it from the previous year’s model. Most obvious are the Stingray badges mounted on the front fenders above the louvers, a new addition for 1969. After a year's absence, the Stingray name was back on Corvette's, but now as one word, not two. The standard engine was now a 350 cubic-inch V8 with optional big block 427ci engines including the L71 Tri-Power that used a trio of two-barrel carburetors to pump out up to an ground pounding 435 horsepower. This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Convertible offered here for sale was shipped on November 30th,1968 to its original owner. Ordered new in code 972 Can Am White complemented by a trim 411 Bright Blue interior which is a very rare color combination. Additional options include head restraint seatback, side exhaust, F41 suspension, white folding top, 3.70 posi-traction differential, transistor ignition, m21 4-speed manual transmission and am/fm push button radio. Lift the hood of this stunning Corvette and what comes immediately into view is the numbers matching Tri-Power L71 427ci/435hp big-block V-8. The engine’s power runs through a numbers matching M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission to a Posi traction rear end with 3.70 gears. Due to its provenance, this Corvette has benefited from a frame off restoration with great attention to detail. The result is a beautifully executed restoration complete with a detailed engine compartment, interior, and undercarriage just as it left the factory new in 1969. Important with any Corvette, this example comes fully documented with GM of Canada documentation showing the original options including the coveted L71 Tri-Power 427/435hp engine. Examples like this one are extremely hard to find with a numbers matching engine, quality frame-off restoration and of course bulletproof documentation. Additional Details: -
