Vehicle Description
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle $52,995
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has been done with a terrific color combo and upgraded stroker V8 power under the hood. So it's a sharp, powerful, and absolutely awesome build.
This Chevelle looks quite nice in blue. It's a shade similar to the Marina Blue that was offered in this era, and it has an attractive glossy finish without losing a true cruiser style. As a premium Malibu, it has the right touches of upper-class style. You see it in the sweeping trim down by the rocker that's the dividing line for the lower gray section for this sport coupe's subtle two-tone. And the clean lines and form-hugging chrome bumpers also have the right premium feeling. But the reason why a Chevelle like this is such a legend is that the hardtops have a terrific fastback line that makes them look sporty. So while this is not trying to be a Super Sport clone, you do get the right SS kind of vibe with details like the dual power dome hood and classic competition-style Torq Thrust wheels (done in a large 18-inch size to nicety fit the wheel wells)
The interior continues the look of a classic Malibu cruiser. After all, the dark blue has a premium style, and the wide rows of bench seats were a drive-in favorite. It's a beautifully detailed package with a time capsule-like feeling everywhere from the working dome light to the button top on the seatbacks. But while this is pure 1960s cool, there has been a solid investment here where the upholstery, dash, carpeting, door panels, headliner, and fundamentals all have a fresher and inviting style. There's even an upgraded radio fitted in the stock knob-style dash housing. This was also made to be a solid all-around driver. So you have classic pieces like a dual-spoke steering wheel and clear factory gauges, and these are joined by an auxiliary gauge trio and tach mounted under the dash.
The upgrades to this Malibu were somewhat subtle on the exterior and interior, but that all changes with the engine bay. The dark and clean inner fenders funnel your attention to the tidy and shining heart. This is a hardy small block Chevy motor that's said to be a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8 (and it certainly feels that strong.) It's a healthy powerhouse that also has performance upgrades like aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, and topped with a Brawler four-barrel carburetor. It even has nice supporting components like the electronic ignition, Chevrolet cast valve covers, and a Cold Case aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. It fires up eagerly as a set of Doug's long tube headers adds power and rumble to the dual exhaust. This big power package is ideally paired with a stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with a stall for an ideal powerband. Plus, upgrades like power steering, front disc brakes, and grippy modern ZR-rated sport tires keep you confident on the road.
This has the right look, the right power, and the right features all come together to deliver the right Chevelle Malibu that's fun and distinct. Call today!!!
